Vettaiyan vs Coolie crossover: Rajinikanth celebrates Onam in style

Superstar Rajinikanth celebrated Onam in style. Thalaivar broke into an impromptu dance on the sets of his upcoming film, Coolie. The song he chose was Manasilaayo from his other upcoming film, Vettaiyan, creating an epic crossover.
Production house Sun Pictures posted a fun video of Rajinikanth dancing to Manasilaayo on Coolie sets. Thalaivar wore a shirt and mundu (a traditional garment worn in parts of South India) as he danced in style with crew members.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie was launched in September 2023. The filmmaker recently shared a character poster of Rajinikanth. He wrote, “Superstar @rajinikanth sir as #Deva in #Coolie. Thank you so much for this @rajinikanth sir. It’s going to be a blast (sic).”

The film is expected to release in the second half of 2025.
As for Vettaiyan, the film features Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film is touted to be a hard-hitting action entertainer based on a true story. It is said that the actor will play a Muslim police officer. It will hit the theatres on October 10.
